No, there's no hype to it because its just like the first one, its just a plain MMO like any other unlike regular MH which consisted of SP option. The first one pretty much flopped if you compare it to the rest of the MH series - its obvious they were trying to downsize it with a small team and even then it wasnt worth it.

 

Would rather have Sony fund an actual MH game than a MMO spinoff the series.

I actually expected this to come west because of what a Sony insider on NeoGAF said. Something about a Monster Hunter spin-off coming to PS4 and it was this so eh. Seeing what they did with Dragon Dogma Online, I would have expected it to be similar to that than Frontier.

Yeah I would like Sony to fund a MH but Nintendo paid more money lol.
