PCs, consoles, motion controls, handhelds, and yes, smartphones. All can offer fresh experiences you don't get anywhere else.
Nothing is objectively inferior, it's all about what you want to play and how willing you are to try something new and drop off the "hardcore" gamer attitude.
We couldn't have a thread about a mobile game announcement without the "tough" hardcore gamers trolling the heck out of it. Now Pokemon Go is all the rage.
Be more open to new experiences, in everything in life, not just gaming, and you will be a much happier person.
