This is an excellent assessment haha. I have 14 games right now (not including all the monthly free downloads on Live). Of the 14 games, I finished Dead Rising 3, Ryse, and Defense Grid 3 (I bought my Xbox Day One Edition on release day). I'm playing the Master Chief Collection now cuz I never got to play the originals, I'm barely in the beginning of Halo 2. I have some RPGs in my lineup. No sports games and 3 family games cuz the fiancee is not a gamer, doesn't care for gaming and I promise her I would find something for her to use so she would let me buy it. So the 3 casual are Fantasia, Just Dance, and Zumba.

I used to love JRPGs and third person adventure games. Still, do actually. I do like the Xbox but I think the JRPGs are calling me hence the itch to want to switch. Will I have time to play them? I'll be lucky if the fiancee lets me. But I really want to play the Final Fantasy 7 Remake so unless it comes ou to Xbox One I think I'm leaning towards switching. I might get a Roku (I tried to get a Roku TV but the fiancee wanted the dang Samsung TV from Costco which does have incredible image quality).

I don't have a SlingTV subscription, and so far what I have read from Vue doesn't really grabs my attention. The one thing I did like of SlingTV when I did the free trial was  being able to watch some shows that already aired. Does Vue have that too? Is there like a DVR option with the PS4 and the Vue app?

I get that. I work about 35 hours a week and I have school, so finding time to play everything I'd like it tough. I can only imagine it's even harder when you live with a significant other.

Your fiancee made the right call. While the Roku software in the TCL tvs is nice, image quality isn't great and I have doubts about their build quality (I work in the electronics department at Target).

Vue does have on demand content and the DVR is actually pretty interesting. It's cloud based and saves every episode of any show you have favorited for 28 days (Vue has a ludacric favorite limit of 500 shows). It's a cool service, and is a truly viable replacement for traditional cable, but if you're just interested in ESPN than I don't know if it would be worth it for you personally.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
