Well I do have the pc + ps4 combo which is way better than ps4 + x1 since pc is getting all the xbox exclusives.

Anyway read his reply above.  It's pretty obvious the ps4 is the best choice for him.

Youre actually agreeing with me, PS4 alone isnt as good as more options. You have a gaming PC for that reason.

Also, the OP said he plays maybe 5 to 10 hours a week. Thats an avid gamer in my opinion. He could finish all the notable PS4 games in a few months at that rate. Unless hes a fan of niche Japanese stuff.

So, because I'm a dork, I've done the math on this using the main+extras times from Howlongtobeat. I've included the notable remasters since he didn't have a PS3.

NDC = 30 hours

Bloodborne = 45 hours

Uncharted 4 = 17 hours

R&C = 11.5 hours

Infamous SS = 14 hours

TLOU:R = 17.5 hours

GOWIII:R = 10.5 hours

Until Dawn = 9 hours

The Witness = 25.5 hours

Driveclub = 35 hours

SFV = 2.5 hours

MLB 2016  = 39 hours

Assuming that he plays 7.5 hours a week, plays all of those games and nothing else, it would take him about 8 months to play all of them.

Of course, games will be coming out in that 6 month stretch as well. But it would still likely take him less than a year to get all caught up on "notable" PS4 games.

I'd like to reiterate that I agree with you that he probably shouldn't get rid of his Xbox One, but I totally understand him just not having the time to support two consoles.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
