LuckyTrouble said: Boku no Hero Academia, now that I'm caught up to 101, I gotta say, the anime easily adapted the worst part of the manga. We only saw a whiny Deku who constantly breaks himself and has no confidence, we saw a bitchy Bakugou who didn't experience any of the moments of true character development that at least partly justify his attitude, and we got very, very little action for a series that, like many like it, experiences combat conflict after combat conflict. Season two of the anime has a chance to be a lot better based on what comes after, but if they only adapt another 20 chapters, it's going to feel really disappointing and drawn out. At the least, the manga will stay a good read week by week. |
Honestly i am fine if the second season is only 13 episodes and ends up only covering the sports arc.
I rather a shonen action anime adaption only last 12 to 25 episodes a season then take a break for about 12 weeks to 6 months while waiting for the Manga to be a bit further ahead then come back with the same number of episodes with consistently good animation. This is hell of a better then what Toei and Pierrot is doing with Naruto (ITS BEEN 2 FUCKING YEARS SINCE NARUTO ENDED AND YET SHIPPUDEN IS STILL GOING ON!!!!) and One Piece.
