An Apple TV is 100 bucks, and people are going to have the phone anyway, which is 2-300 with a contract.  And it's also a phone.

And, if you have an Android phone (which you should) then it's significantly cheaper, and you can stream wirelessly with a 20 dollar or so Chromecast.  

And this is what's available now.  It's only going to get cheaper and easier.  I'm pretty sure that there are TVs that can wirelessly mirror phones out of the box.  If there are not, I'd be absolutely shocked if they don't exist within 2 years.

HAve you seen the lag when playing with a Chromcast> its pretty bad, something i dont think any real gamer would want to use.

I haven't actually played on a chromecast.  Even if there is lag now though, do you think that will still be a major issue in three years time?
