If the op was smarter then he would have brought the issue of the pet trade into light. I have an iguana which was probably sent out of Central America in a box. They tend to send large shipments of reptiles in boxes with no food, water and little air. Most die on the way to the pet market.
I fucked up my iguana at first because I didn't have the proper lights (they need UVA and especially UVB). So he developed a bone disease that he would eventually of died from if I didn't get the proper lights. He might have a messed up jaw but it could have gotten worse. He is now 16 years old and still kicking it. I try to take him outside more to get some natural sun now that I have a house for 2 years and he seems to enjoy the backyard. Iguanas in wild live up to 20 years so I believe that even though I fucked up his jaw I eventually provided him with loving care.
