Oh come on you know it will be. With the rumor of a pro version of the 7 it may even get more expensive for the best one.
6s Plus 128GB is currently $1529 at JB 
To be fair it's not like the others are cheap. Samsung is always close behind and even HTC, Sony and LG launched their latest flagships above $1000. Guess the difference is they drop to like $600-700 in like 6 months.
