Police officers shouldn't shoot unarmed people. But without investigation we won't know what aggravating or mitigating conditions there was to decide if it was a honest error, dumb mistake, criminal lack of ability, etc.

I'm not able to judge a situation constructed on poor, constructed, misleading information done for clickbaits. When we have more disclosure sure I'll be more confortable saying what I think of his action (that again, it's not ok to shoot someone that doesn't present a risk).

I do respect the gravity of the situation, my uncle was murdered at home by criminals.

We will only know how poor the judgement was, or how confusing the situation was when we have investigation. Jumping to say the police officer shoot a laid guy isn't the way to do it. Even more when we have contradicting evidence and statements.

I didn't say it's ok to shoot unarmed people, what I said is that we don't know what happened.

I am sorry to hear about what happend to your uncle, but have you considered that you may not capable of being impartial because of what happened to you?  It is understandable.  The boy sitting on the ground does not, however,  deserve to die simply because of what happened to you. Nor should the either party be cleared of any wrongdoing simply because folks wish it so.

I only asked you to concede that shooting unarmed people is wrong.  You would not.  Then I pressed you to only admit that the cop shot an unarmed man.  You reclutently did both, but you struggle with needing it to be justified.  No one has claimed to have the full story.  We are only commenting on what we know.  No one will ever need to pass your test in order to earn the right not to be shot.  Plus its plain crazy to say that it may be justifiable pending investigation that the caretaker was shot.   Thats nuts.    That you can't even 'judge' that on your own scares the hell out of me.   Just waiting for that big twist to this story that isn't going to come.

In just the same way you're ideas of the world are shaped by your frame of reference, so too are they for everyone else.  If you are afraid of people because of what happened to you in the past then you would make a poor cop as well.  Unchecked fear is what is holding us back.   It puts my life at risk because of your unprovoked fear.

I would like to add that I hope your family got justice for your uncle.
