Has anybody's gaming habits changed with their age?

When I was younger I was impressed by sex and gore in games. I remember playing Resident Evil 2 on N64 and marveling at the bloody carnage. That's changed over the years.

Around 2008 I started branching out to new games, genres, and developers. I caught up on a lot of old Sega, Sony, and Microsoft games.

Lately I've been trying to pull myself back in after overextending myself. I want to choose the games I play more carefully and maybe even focus on just one or two systems. When I was younger I had a narrow but deep knowledge of games. Now I have a broad but shallow knowledge. Maybe it's time to go back.
