Should organised religion be banned?

The problem with religion is extremism, as it is with anything.As long there is people that takes things to extreme, everything will have its bad side.Its not the religion, or its organisation fault for that.As everything, the fault lies in us:humans.

Honestly, that wouldn't be such a bad idea. I was actually considering making a thread asking if countries/governments were a necessary or unnecessary evil anyway. As far as I see it the main purpose of a country is protection, partially from other people and partially from other countries. If all countries were abolished then that would be at least one of their uses made irrelevant.

I personally would solve the problem by creating a world government, with varied administrative districts, without national attachment. And yes, I'd approve removing religion, if it were logistically possible to do so- which it isn't.
