Wolfenstein: New Order did low gravity/regular gravity space battles with seamless transitions. Battlefield has been doing vehicles for years. The Alien vs. Predator games had side missions and letting you choose your own story missions.
The point is, nothing IW is introducing is new. Even if you ignore Advanced Warfare, Ghosts, AND Halo, every supposed innovation has already been done by other FPSs. The accusation is not "it's boring because it's like Halo," the accusation is "it's not interesting because everything it's done has already been done by about a billion other FPSs."

Listen, what you're doing is comparing, don't sugar coat it and call it something else. You're the only one that started campering Halo and others. So I think my meme is very well justified.
The point is, and I think you missed it on more than one occasion, is that some, not all, but some of what IW is introducing is new for COD, and IMO it looks good. I'm sure you already know that.

I never said I wasn't comparing, so again, not entirely sure where you're getting this from. I never said I wasn't comparing CoD to other shooters. What I said was that I wasn't accusing it of ripping it off. And I genuinely hope there is some distinction in your mind between comparing two games in the same genre and accusing one game of ripping off another.
And I've never missed that point at all. You, in the OP, were wondering why nobody was excited about this game. My explanation is that nobody is excited because everything that IW has done are things that we have seen before in other games. That is all I have been arguing for this entire time. I'm not trying to argue that CoD ripped anyone off, or anything other than providing an explanation on why people aren't excited. I'm honestly not sure how I can make that any clearer.
