Building a man cave - Gaming TV advice needed!

Hello VGC,

 

very simple question. I am building a new house and I will get my own Gaming-Room. Problem is that I don't have the gaming equipment ready yet. So, I need a new TV.

I was told that OLED is the best technology for gaming right now and what I saw was pretty impressive.

 

Which technology (LCD, LED, OLED or something else) do you prefer for gaming? And do you have a kickass TV in mind already?

 

I am currently looking at the LG 55 EG 9609. This beast is still 2,800€, which is quite a hefty price tag. But in February 2017 or so it should be significantly cheaper.

It is ridiculous how much cheaper it is in the US.

 

What's important for me is: 4K, at least 55", Great for gaming. Let's here your suggestions.
