I'm not a PC genius. Does anyone know which is better- two 1080 cards or the new Titan x?

Titan X seems like it will be about a 20% improvement over 1080. SLI ranges between a 0% improvement all the way up to about a 70% improvement, depending on the game. SLI is highly variable, some games don't support it at all, others see only a small gain, others see a pretty big gain.

Price is the same for both if you can find some 1080's for MSRP (which is a pretty big if currently). Titan X wins in power draw (250w vs. 360w).

Where did you get that 20% from?

The Titan X (2016) has 40% more cores and +80% higher memory bandwidth. I'd say that it will be at last something like 45-50% faster than the 1080.

Please excuse my bad English.
