In the meantime i'm happy i kept my 980Ti FTW. It would be cheaper to SLI it than to even get a 1080 or Titan at this price gouging point.

I doubt the 1080ti will have more cores. It will probably have around 500 less cores but will be higher clocked, making it around as powerful as the Titan. Basically the same Titan X/980ti scenario.
