The positives : 1- runs slightly better tha first demo 2- looks slightly better too. 3-The game intro was nice, i wanted to find out more. Negatives : 1- Pop ins still an issue. Even in the intro tutorial which is basically 2 corridors and not the open world, stuff was popping in left and right. I can only imagine how it's going to be in big areas. I think this is Temco cheap design descion instead of optimization since its not an open world issue (seems to happen in normal closed areas too) 2- Game performance still lacking. I can handle pop ins, its no big deal in games espically since its mostly trees and objects and not enemies like AOT, but I'd like some better framerate in return :(. 4 minions, a mini boss and the game started shugging. Get rid of the fucking colored attack effects and give me a solid performace anyday. Whats going to happen when 2-3 bosses and small enemies are on screen ? Also, I see people talk about its open world as an excuse for its performace. The game isnt really an open world, more like open areas with loading in between. Anyways, I think I'm still going to hold out on this in hopes for 2-3 patches. Btw Dragon Quest heroes 2 still looks and runs better than this and has similar map structure too. |
Thanks for the impressions. It's funny that Omega Force games can be all over the place with their performance on Vita. Dynasty Warriors Next = fantastic. Dynasty Warriors 8 XL = Terrible. Toukiden Age of Demons = fantastic. Toukiden 2 = bad. Dragon Quest Heroes 2 = fantastic. Attack on Titan = bad.
I hope they patch it up, because it's no Vita no buy for me, 'open world' games are a dime a dozen on PS4 but it's more of a novelty on a handheld for me (even if it is just big open areas). Also I just don't have time to play hunting games (which are inherently grindy) on a console.
