Thanks man. I can't understand how you can think PS3's OS is better and quicker than 360 or even Wii's...from the gamer perspective. It does have more functions off the bat as ps3 is a media center powerhouse...but I wish there was a theme I could apply to it which would give it "Gamer only" layout. 80% of that stuff there I do not need... Everything seems like it was unecessarily categorized... When you put a game, video, whatever disk in the 360, you can launch it form every screen. On the PS3...I have to go back to the main menu, find the games tab and then go through all the games I have to find the one I just put it. I didn't put it in there cause I want to store it in my ps3...I wanna play it...right away!!! :) 360 and Wii OS's are focused more for gamers where PS3 wants to do everything from what I see thus far. Wii has by far the easiest layout and navigation in my opinion but it also offers 30% of what the other 2 offer. |
You can turn on auto-start:
Settings } System settings } Disc Auto-Start
You'll enjoy the XMB once you are used to it.
Also, you can clump all your downloaded games in a folder so you would just see the disc and your downloaded games folder on the XMB.
Go over a downloaded game and press square to toggle through the options or press triangle and select group.
