When people talk about third party support, they don't mean the third party games that Wii, and for the most part, WiiU got.
These things go hand in hand. Consoles become more popular the more quality support they recieve. And developers have to weigh the pros against the cons when deciding where to put the performance benchmark for a new game. Persona 5 can't look or function quite as good as it normally would if it wasn't also developed for PS3. Final Fantasy XV on the other hand does look and play like a current gen Final Fantasy game, and it's graphics is one of it's selling points.

But we are talking about the NX. I get what you are saying, but the odds are there isn't going to be an issue with the power of the console when it comes out (to a degree).
