Berserk is amazing. It has rare depth for manga that center around combat. It switches gears many times, as well. Just know that it does not hold back in the slightest. Death is everywhere. Torture, nudity, rape, everything that you would expect if that world were real. It's the middle ages if it had real demons.

I find it more surprising that Hana and wild guy (Tarou I found) are into games and other nerdy things. Narumi and Hirotaka look the part better, but on the surface, I would never suspect that from the other 2. It was great watching them play Mario Kart xD Also, Hirotaka picking on his cute kid brother was really funny and cute as well. He still has that dumb happy look. |
Hana does have her cosplay thing, so I guess she's a real otaku, but Tarou is probably the kind of person who'd play on his own without getting dragged into the "culture" if it weren't for his friends. It doesn't have the impact on his life it has for the others, though it's obvious he does play a fair amount.
