Religous texts have the habit of being old, written in the spirit of an era, while centuries of re-interpretation may also obscure the original intentions.

The quran is pretty simple, and the quran itself doesn't leave any room left for interpretation:

6:114

And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.

 

History teaches us, a closer view reveals Muhammeds intentions. Muslim terrorists are not true to islam? But they are doing what is commanded. They are following it to a T. If you say Islam is Religon Nr. 1, then one is appalled by your understanding of justice. And if you say the Sharia shouldn't be state law, then you are not a true muslim.

How did this happen with all the super inventive minds, superior religion, resp. the great Allah at their sides?

I'd like to know when exactly this "golden age of muslim religion" occured and how the Islam, the direct teachings of the Quran "allowed and supported" scientific efforts. JK. I know the answer and it's already given with this text.
