Mirage sessions uses characters from fire emblem so to claim it as a typical third party game is stretching it.

but for the sake of an argument, let's assume it is a third party title. Is one niche third party title supposed to accurately reflect the performance of all third party titles?

My earlier point still stands. Wii u first party titles win by default because there aren't many third party options.

The amount available doesn't stop a game from selling better, and yet the first third party title doesn't appear until #17 in the top selling Wii U titles.

That chart would certainly be different if Nintendo had pushed for better third party support. Minecraft came way to late despite being a perfect fit for the gamepad. Rayman would have sold more if it stayed exclusive. Overwatch's family friendly cel shaded graphics would have been a perfect fit for a Nintendo platform. Rocket league would do well as a cartoonish and fun couch coop games. Not to mention all of the BIG games that skipped the wii u (GTA and Destiny for example)
