Surely Microsoft will fix these problems soon, they can't keep insisting that there isn't a problem with the 360 when clearly there is. Or have they been lying for too long to admit the truth now? I hope this fiasco doesn't go on too much longer.

Honestly, I think they have denied it so long that it's too late for them to admit the issue. That doesn't mean they aren't trying to fix it though. I think the smaller chips are more than just a cost saving meassure. They are hoping that it will fix the failure rates.

Besides, the vast majority of people love the box.

I suppose it doesn't really matter if they still deny these problems as long as they actually get them all sorted out. I just want a 360 as it's the only console that me or my flatmates don't have, but I'm reluctant to buy a shoddy machine.
