If AMD does that, they'll have a PR nightmare on their hands. And that won't solve the problem, it will only make the 470 irrelevant.

Another option could be discontinuing the 4GB variant of the 480. They could use the extra performance and extra (and faster) memory, to justify the extra cost...and bundle a game or two would help too. Do a "Never Settle" promotion again.

That's what I meant, thanks. The 480 can play most if not all games at max and mantain 30fps, but there are games where it can't hit an average of 60fps like those you mentioned plus The Witcher 3 or Crysis 3.

A new Never Settle promotion this Holiday would indeed be nice. I know they partnered with Square Enix on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, so that makes it a logical candidate for a free game. I think they also had partnerships for Hitman, Total War: Warhammer, Ashes of Singularity, Doom, and Star Wars Battlefront during the last year or so, so they could do a choose 2 games deal for 480 and choose 1 game for 470.

RX 480 is actually pretty close to 60 fps average on Witcher 3 (not including the Nvidia Gameworks features of course). Digital Foundry has it at 61 fps average on Witcher 3, while Tom's Hardware got 65 fps average. With some overlcoking you might even be able to get minimum drops over 60 fps for a smooth v-sync experience.

The Witcher 3 is one of those games where results vary depending on several things (like the use of AF or the kind of AA, for example). Guru3D has it at 53fps, while at TechPowerUp it gets 50.3fps.

AMD has a very good relationship with DICE, maybe they could do a Battlefiled 1 bundle this holiday.

Please excuse my bad English.
