I don't think Nintendo necessarily copied or ripped off but as I've tried to express in this thread I think there's a possibility that Nintendo was inspired by some of the Eyetoy games when they made some of the Wii games.
But let's not go there again. It'll consume far too much of your time and annoy other users.
