Like Chris, I long for an RPG that drops fantasy in favour of realism, that portrays astute sword fighting with weight, labour, and context—as an act that has meaning and not simply a set-piece determined by who can wind up with the most remaining hit points—and Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks like it could be just that.

Lovely Planet Arcade, the sequel to one of Tyler's favorite games of 2014, will be out on July 22. But in spite of the direct lineage (and the confusingly similar name), it promises a rather different sort of FPS experience: The Y-axis is gone this time around, meaning it will play more like Doom '93 than Doom '16.

 

SEXY FARMING GAME BREEDING SEASON, ONCE A MASSIVE PATREON SUCCESS, IS CANCELLED

Kotaku has an unhappy report on the state of Breeding Season, a “Harvest Moon meets Hentai” sex game that, according to PledgeSociety, was pulling in more than $42,000 per month on Patreon. Despite that whopping-big figure, the whole thing has been canceled because of a dispute with former Art Director Vladimir Sandler.

 

CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE REMASTERED GETS A LENGTHY GAMEPLAY VIDEO

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is launching alongside Infinite Warfare later this year, and judging by the video embedded below, the graphical enhancements are quite impressive. The footage shows a playthrough of the Crew Expendable mission, the second chapter in the original 2007 game.

Overcooked is a frantic single-player or co-op cooking game where you’re tasked with zipping around kitchens, cooking and serving food, and ultimately trying your damnedest not to set things on fire. In my experience, preventing the latter is easier said than done.

As you’ve no doubt come to expect by now, you’ve got just one shot to hit the mark or it’s game over (well, contract over), however there’s a twist in the tale this time round: the target has an identical twin and under no circumstances are you to take out the wrong one.
