I think a large advantage is the ability of both systems to play existing libraries (if true, obviously).
If this was a completely new gen and all else was relatively equal such as shared library at probably greater than 90%, similar media capabilities and priced not far from each other I think power plays a part like it does on much electronics.
Again, it's all speculation anyways so who knows what will happen in the end. :)
