MCC launch was bit of a mess yeah, multiplayer matchmaking didn't even work. I just played all the campaigns and I think it's a damn good remaster, I only experienced one annoying bug in Halo 4 so I had to restart the mission in order to progress. Framerate was solid and graphics were good, especially Halo 2 was excellent. Multiplayer works fine now too and finding matches is quick, so overall Master Chief Collection is hardly a mess. There's tons of content.
Halo 5 has the best multiplayer and campaign was solid. Confusing yes, they did what Epic did with Gears of War 1 - 3, huge gaps between the events of each game that are explained in books and comics. I didn't mind it with Gears, of course Halo seems to be more confusing. Bungie's story was more straightforward and easy to follow, but also very simple.
