I agree here. I played MCC from start to finish and had no issues, same with Halo 5.

To the OP it seems like you just didnt enjoy the games, thats fine, but I wouldn't go so far as to throw anger at Microsoft or 343 for your negative opinion on the releases. They released some damn good games.

Halo 5 had a great multiplayer, but its campaign left a lot to be desired. The MCC on the other hand is just a total mess. The multiplayer didn't work for months after release, and the campaign performed poorly as well. I was a strong defender when it released, but I've since let go of a bit of my fanboyism. I'm not saying you're one because you liked the games, but both clearly had problems at release that I can't let go of.

Halo 5 did have a decent Multiplayer.
BUT. And this is a very big BUT.

It wasn't feature complete.
It's Multiplayer was bare-boned, the Multiplayer got stale/boring very quickly.
It had limited selection of maps (Especially in Warzone) and a ton of game-modes and features like Forge and Grifball/Infection etc' were non-existent.

The approach was to provide everything all in successive content patches for free, which is fine.
But in this day and age where you have amazing games being released constantly, then you better give me something substantual to keep me interested or I am gone to the next big thing.

Don't get me started on how the Req system Reqqed things either.

...And then Fallout 4 launched, which meant for me that Halo 5's multiplayer fell into obscurity never to be played by me again.

Singleplayers story was horrible, easily the worst story in the entire franchise... And mostly that was because Characters and events were all taken from Halo's expanded universe, which meant if you hadn't paid attention to the extra Halo media (Books etc') you had no clue on what was happening.

Then you have the graphics........ Enough said.

Halo 5 also had interesting advertising, Microsoft's advertising was extremely mis-leading of the games actual plot.

And then you Have.. Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The Master Chief Collection, whilst incredibly enjoyable to play all those single player experiences again, had the most useless multiplayer component in any Halo game, ever.
In-fact even today it's multiplayer is useless (At-least in Australia) as the game never had any kind of real multiplayer population, they dropped the ball big-time on that one, I would have better luck finding a Halo Wars 1 match on the Xbox 360.

Halo is no longer the Xbox title that sits on top of all other games on Xbox as the defining title for the platform and in my opinion it's brand has been tarnished.
With Halo: Spartan Strike not coming to Xbox, cancelled Halo MMO/Russian only, Halo MCC and Halo 5 bungles I don't have much faith in the franchise anymore, I'll still pick up Halo Wars 2 and Halo 6 of course as I own every Halo game on every platform and don't wish to break that just yet... But Microsoft should probably look towards another "Halo" franchise to define the Xbox brand with.
