That scene where you had to choose which of your friends to execute in Wolfenstein The New Order was pretty messed up and if you don't choose then it's an instant game over. The worst part is that both of them chastise you for your choice later on too.

I was about to answer that no game has done that to me, but I completely forgot that one. That was just horrible. And it's not just an execution either, it's practically torture.

Yeah, it's brutal. I might be wrong but I don't actually recall there being that much controversy about it either or hearing anything about it before I played it. That made it all the more shocking in comparison to other shocking moments from GTA and CoD which were spoiled almost instantly.
