The Order 1886
They took every opportunity to say how cinematic it would be, how it wouldn't have MP, and how it was focused on third person shooting. The game comes out and there was nothing surprising for me. I bought the CE and enjoyed the romp and the great voice acting and world building and fun shooting which was surprisingly engaging after reviews. It was also so gorgeous I literally didn't know I was allowed to play as I thought it was a cutscene still lol
But it comes out and people act surprised at the black bars (something they specifically talked about before release), lack of MP (went over that heavily before release), and how the length made the purchase worse (if it's good I'll replay while I get bored with repetitive open worlds like Just Cause after less time so not objectively bad). I'd give it a 7/10
