The lion king, Mulan, The Jungle book(live action and animation), tarzan, toy Story, and many other movies are all for children. 

Regardless, he tried to imply teenage demographic media has a high ratio of bad narrative in comparison to good narrative.  I'll take Juno, Donnie Darko, Dead Poet Society, Boyhood and Perks of Being a Wallflower's narratives over all those Disney films.
