1) Lack of meaningful support for the Vita
2) Expensive Vita memory cards
3) DualShock is in need of a redesign
4) Closing down Liverpool
5) But the biggest problem is first-party software. It's taken a serious dive since the PS2 days. Sony seems to have doubled down on big-budget cinematic action games and experimental quasi-games that focus heavily on presentation and storytelling at the expense of gameplay. I'll continue to buy PS hardware for third-party exclusives like Nioh and Nier Automata, but I no longer feel compelled to invest in software by Guerilla, MediaMolecule, Sucker Punch, Bend, etc. Even Naughty Dog and Japan Studio have been inconsistent over the last two generations. I want fewer "artsy" and cinematic experiences, and more titles with deep and rewarding gameplay.
