WARNER BROS. SETTLES FTC COMPLAINT OVER SHADOW OF MORDOR "INFLUENCERS" CAMPAIGN

Warner Bros. Interactive has settled charges filed by the FTC that it “deceived consumers during a marketing campaign” for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor by failing to adequately disclose that it paid "hundreds to tens of thousands" of dollars to YouTubers including PewDiePie for positive gameplay videos posted to YouTube and other social networks.

We talked about the first-person cyberpunk heist adventure Quadrilateral Cowboy quite a bit back in 2013, when it won the Grand Jury Award at IndieCade. It was supposed to come out that year too, although that didn't quite work out as planned. Today, however, developer Blendo Games announced that it will be out very soon: specifically, on July 25, 2016.

Ian’s Eyes is an upcoming survival horror game that sees you fill the paws of North—a guide dog tasked with steering the titular eight year-old Ian around his first day at Blue Norholm Centenary School. It’s been a while since I left school, far less started it, but I imagine this would be a pretty intimidating experience at the best of times, Things get decidedly worse, though, when North discovers all is not well in the backwater town of Wintreal. You see, it seems Blue Norholm is haunted. Not the best of starts, then.

In the 21 years Worms has been in existence, the turn-based strategy-cum-murder playground has spawned over 20 main series entries and a smattering of supplementary spin-offs. Over 3,000,000,000 worms have met their maker in that time, says developer Team 17, which is a number sure to rise further still when Worms WMD arrives on August 23.
