My fat Xbox 360 died on me half a dozen times. Microsoft fixed/replaced them all, the last couple of machine replacements they tried to wave the warranty length flag, so I took them to the consumer affairs and got Microsoft to pull their finger out.
Ended up selling my fat 360 for $20 and got a Halo 4 Slim machine (Which is 4~ years old now) which has been rock solid. Been thinking of grabbing an E console "just in case" as a backup.
