I would argue that cannabis relative hemp has been more beneficial to humans considering it is one of the strongest natural fiber on our planet which is very helpful in rope and other products. It also allowed a more portable form of writing over stone tablets. Cannabis has many benefits especially as a mild pain reliever (hell a lot better than popping pills for minor sores). I just think hemp contribution has been a lot more to civilization advancement. Shame that is illegal to grow in USA even though it contains about .3% THC. Last time hemp was legal to grow in all 50 states was back in WW2 when the government needed a shitload of rope for the Navy and other armed services.
