In a general sense, making a good demo for an rpg is not an easy task beacuse rpgs are heavily based on growth and progression. ED was indeed a much better demo and was well-recieved by the critics because it had some of that sense of progression. PD lacked that completely as it wasn't meant for that kind of stuff. I agree it was a bad idea.
Also. I think PD "damage" was minimum at best. It was favorably rated on both PS store (8150 votes) and Xbox store (3104 votes) so I think we are overestimating the matter here. People seemingly took it for what it is rather than a representer of the final game. It was a charming little experience with its share of flaws.
