So I own a 14 year old Border Collie who has been on a steady decline movement wise.  He hops 2 feet at a time with his back legs when going down steps and always turns one way when going up or down them.  He also has a lot of trouble with stiffness in the morning in his legs.  His stride is now very ugly and obviously much slower than when he was younger.  I give him adequan injections to help and it definitely improves his movements and ability to get up from lying down and such.

I realize these things happen to older dogs and he's already on the high end of life expectancy (which is 10-14 for border collies typically) but I was wondering if anyone has experience with dog chiropractors.  I've heard a couple success stories but only know one person personally who has had it done to their dog (positive results).  My vet has one that operates in his office and I'll ask him how effective it is for a senior dog but thought I'd see if anyone had had success for failure treating an older dog with one on here to get an unbiased opinion.  And yes I realize the quality of the chiropractor will make a huge difference.
