Nintendo's not going to do this. They're not going to let the success of Pokemon Go, Go to their heads. Iwata was very clear on how Nintendo would pursue the mobile market. Putting their older titles on iOS and Android with some updated visuals might do well for some time but how long before people start pirating APKS, etc. As if they're not using emulators as it is. Nintendo has to make a mobile structure where it's hard to pirate and enjoy a game which means microstransactions which Pokemon Go is currently making a killing off of. If Nintendo is to succeed in the mobile market, simply slapping their best classics on a device will do little in the long run.
You never hear success stories from games like Secret of Mana, or the Dragon Quest games being released on Android or IOS because they're just games you can get anywhere else. They have to focus on bringing new and engaging content that is sure to bring in money and Pokemon Go is an amazing example. I mean, just imagine when Gen 2 gets into the mix, it's gonna be crazy.
