AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.7.1 is now available, fixes RX 480’s power issue

AMD has released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.7.1 improves the Radeon RX 480’s power distribution, lowering the current drawn from the PCIe bus. In addition, this driver brings performance improvements for the Polaris architecture that yield performance uplifts in popular game titles of up to 3%.

EA Sports has released a new trailer for FIFA 17, showcasing the new and improved set-pieces. EA Sports has enhanced Free Kicks, Penalties, Throw-Ins, and Corners, thus giving players more freedom than before. FIFA 17 will be powered by Frostbite 3 Engine and will be released on September 29th.

Crystal Dynamics has released a new update for the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider that adds DX12 multi-GPU support, as well as utilization of DirectX 12 Asynchronous Compute, on AMD GCN 1.1 GPUs and NVIDIA Pascal-based GPUs, for improved GPU performance. Playdead’s 2D puzzle platformer, Inside, has just been released on the PC and from the looks of it, the game is protected by Denuvo’s anti-tamper tech.
