I don't think sex has been done very well in video games as of now. Heck, I don't think it has been done very well in most media, yet and human kind has been on it for thousands of years.

Let them keep trying, I guess.

My main problem with Sex in video games is that most if it is either extremely sleazy or shoehorned in to fullfill male power fantasies (I know, I know SJW stuff, but male gaze is a concept has has existed well before them).
It doesn't make for good plot or good erotica most of the time and depending on how badly it's done it ranges from unintentionally funny to downright crigeworthy in execution.

I know I found removing the pixelation in the Sims interesting when I was about eleven, but was sorely dissapointed by the results. In many respects I think video games haven't moved much beyond that Sims mechanic. A lot of it is just two sexless plastic looking polygons mashing ankwardly toghether as some kind of 'reward' to be given out. (But then again I feel the same way about the vast majority of porn. Transparently artificial, horribly framed and lit, bad camera work all around and zero impact.)

Video games have had real emotional impact on me before, as have movies and books, but for some reason whenever sex is involved a lot of media seems to shift into this wierd alternate universe of horribly fake and stilted storytelling.
