Its existence certainly doesn't bother me, but when it shows up in games I usually find it distracting, awkward, and handled immaturely.
Otherwise, I've no problem with characters being made to look sexy, but I also have no issue with companies feeling they need to censor such things for different markets. That whole thing with characters that look like kids but dress provocatively and/or hardly at all, for instance, might fly in some markets, but could lead to a shitstorm of negative PR in others. It seems to me a lot of people here are far too hard on such censorship, then.
