Why did everyone hate watch dogs?

Meh, found the story and the characters bland and boring. Multiplayer wasn't anything special for me either. I did find the game play to be pretty fun though.

Edit: Keep in mind I did spend 60$ day 1 for it. Maybe for 10-20$ I would've liked it more. Just didn't feel like it was worth it for me.

I spent 15 on it so maybe that makes a difference, but I think I would still thought it would be worth it for 60.

Yeah it was pretty much the graphics for a lot of people. Personally, I thought the graphics were good, but Ubisoft did hype everyone up with a gorgeous demo at E3 and it just didn't reach that. It's pretty stupid, but that's how it is.
