I love a good list. Organizing and ranking things is entertaining and satisfying for me.

I'm currently working on a top 10 list for Metroidvanias, and I want the help from the community here.

I've seen some lists that contain only one entry per franchise. How do you feel about that? It might make sense for this particular list as otherwise it would be dominated by Metroid and Castlevania games.

So, three questions for you:

1) Should my Metroidvania list be limited to only one game per franchise? Why or why not?
2) Should top 10 lists in general feature only one game per franchise? Why or why not?
3) Recommend me some Metroidvanias to complete my list!
