So Minecraft was developed in a castle made of gold and diamonds and Microsoft got the castle in Minecraft's purchase ?.

Someone seems to be under the assumption that if you BUY something for 2.5 million - it will always be worth that.

Ignoring that values increase, decrease, and something is worth only what OTHERS will pay for it.  Can't name any other company that would pay 2.5 billion for Minecraft.

It is really crazy to pay 2.5 Billions for a game that already sold dozens of Millions of units and you will only be able to sell it for 20US$ without getting 100% of  the money on all plataforms.

If they had 20US$ of profit per unit they would need to sell over 125 Millions of units(after the aquisition) to break even. It will take years. I know that this isn't much but they also still need to pay the employes of Mojang and the budgets of their games.
