It's not neccessarily that you'd prefer playing them on PC, I prefer Console Gaming. I already have a PS4 for third party games and Sony Exclusives. I can't justify purchasing an Xbox though when I have a PC that can play all it's games, even when I'd prefer to play them on a console.
I prefer gaming on a console but I'm willing to put up with playing a few games on PC so I don't have to shell out $300. Though your point stands for those who are console gamers that don't own a Gaming PC already.
For some it is a reason to blast the Xbox, because they enjoy doing it. There are people though who genuinely would have considered getting an Xbox before that no longer will.
