I guess I'm just confused. I grew with arcade games and Atari games, for god's sake. I've seen genres come and go...and then return, due to nostalgia. I've played all kinds of games, for a multitude of reasons. 

So to me, it's bizarre that people are SO turned off by FFXV, just because it doesn't play like the first 9 games. I feel like the people complaining about the battle system must not be the die hard fans...or they're stuck in the past.

Im not turned off by it I'm just saying the Stop mode is crap and is kind of a kneejerk reaction by Square to the not turn based backlash the game is getting. persnonaly as long as its fun, the gameplay can be real time or turn based I dont care. Also theres nothing wrong with turn based games, they sell just as well as they always have sold (check Etrian Odyssey sales, Bravely Default, Persona series, etc) but for some reasons developers decided amongst themselves ppl don't like turn based anymore.
