God of War is a puzzle platformer with elements of extreme action. Yes, you get hordes of enemies to dice up but the game is not hack and slash. Dead Rising is hack and slash. So is Hyrule Warriors and Dynasty Warriors.
Days Gone is a World War Z simulation lol.
