Thanks for the info, I knew it wasn't a French chant either (we actually don't have any, lol), but I didn't know where it originated from :)

But yeah... Icelandic fans were awesome during this tournament, really, top tier fans along with the Irish, but let's not act like they invented anything...

No shame in that.  Not many countries do have their own created chants.  Like Ireland do but they weren't created for football.  They're just Irish songs for example.  

 

Most countries chants originated from a club team somewhere in the world because it's the club scene where most of the effort for new chants is made.
