Dude, Germany just wanted to show that they're able to win any penalty shootout. Even if they fucking miss 3 times! I bet you also didn't notice how Neuer let a couple of shots through on purpose to not make it obvious.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
