Yep, just like the PSP did and probably Vita in the future. I think this kind of longevity is becoming common among Sony hardware there, so PS4 has high chances of doing that as well.

The vita will definitely have a harder job but I still think it can get at least another 2 years and who knows after that.  

 

Ps4 I expect the PS5 not to release until 2021 at the earliest.  8 year life cycle at least without the PS5. Those who thought we'd get a PS5 in 2018 I think are crazy.  I know they probably don't anymore but a lot did
